The recorder component is the “Heart” of a CCTV system, playing a very important role so it should be chosen with care. The recorder is the component that controls the whole system, and it is also the storage medium for all the CCTV footage.

There are 2 types of recorder:

DVR – Digital Video Recorder, recorder for Analog Cameras.

NVR – Network Video Recorder, recorder for IP Cameras.
